Odyssey of the Mind
QUICK FACTS:

-Odyssey of the Mind is a creativity competition that develops critical thinking skills and creativity.

-The students are grouped into teams of 5-7 children and work together to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to creating songs and dances. The teams are coached by parents.

-Students in grades 3-5 compete in the River Region Tournament for a chance to go to the Delaware State Finals. Students in grades 1-2 participate in the River Region Tournament only.

-OotM is a similar time commitment to any sport or extra-curricular activity. From November-December, teams meet one day per week for 1-2 hours. In January and February, they will meet two or three times a week, and in March, they will meet as often as necessary to prepare for the River Region Tournament.

-River Regional Tournament is Sat, March 5th at Appoqunimink High School. This is a whole-day event.
